Amitraz - an organic compound of synthetic origin from the amidines group, acaricide of systemic and contact action, has a wide spectrum of acaricidal effects against ticks Varroa destructor parasitizing on honey bees. When used in recommended dosages, drug residues almost don't accumulate in honey, beebread and wax, and don't exceed the maximum allowable levels.
